EYES Early Years Exploration Scope (illustration)
Inspired by the James Webb Space Telescope and the VLT Very Large Telescope in Chile. This telescope concept uses a series of mirrors in Polar orbit around the planet, with the collector sitting in the L2 Lagrange halo orbit past the Moon.
By having the primary mirrors in orbit, the effective gathering size is greatly increased and helps resolve much finer detail in the cosmos.
